Little Maddie has become very accustomed to having her portraits taken over the years. One could say that she is a natural in front of the camera. She loves to dress up, and pose, as beautiful images of her are captured and saved for many years to come. She may only be five-years-old, but according to her mother, “She loves the camera and to be involved in the planning and direction of the shoot,” which makes it “very easy to capture her true personality.” We couldn’t agree more! We truly feel like we have gotten to know her through this unique “milestone” photo session with Angela from Powell Woulfe Photography.
This particular session with Maddie took place right before her fifth birthday, which also happened to coincide with her family’s moving day. They were about to leave their home in California to embark on a new journey in Maryland. Her mother knew this was a huge moment of change in Maddie’s life, and wanted to make sure it was documented. After much deliberation, mother and daughter collectively decided Keys Creek Lavender Farm in southern California was the perfect outdoor location for this stunning session. Maddie looked beautiful in a long, flowing, and white dress from One Good Thread, daydreaming amongst tiny lavenders.
Thank you for sharing these adorable photos, Angela!
