The quinceañera is the celebration of a young woman’s fifteenth birthday in Latin American cultures, and signals her transition from childhood to adulthood. The celebration style varies significantly across countries, but for Marlene the celebration meant a glamorous affair with all her loved ones gathered in San Francisco. The day began with mass at her local Catholic parish, Corpus Christi, located in the Excelsior District. From there, her entourage piled into an impressive white limo that brought them to the historic Legion of Honor Museum where Barbara Jacqueline Photography captured fun shots of the group. Marlene raved, “I didn’t think taking pictures would be so fun, I really had a great time!” Festivities continued on at El Patio Español where Marlene’s guests awaited her arrival. The party activities were both entertaining and touching, as can be seen in the joyful expressions on her guests’ faces. We invite you to take a look at Barbara Jacqueline Photography’s shots of Marlene’s quinceañera – we’re sure you’ll wish you were invited to such an exciting celebration… because we certainly do!
