Lovebirds Annie and Lewis were married on a beautiful winter’s day in Jacksonville, Florida. Honoring their traditional upbringings, their day began in a customary way — with the bride and groom prepping in separate quarters as they bonded with their wedding parties and family members. Annie was a vision in a backless lace dress, turquoise bridal shoes and a lace-trimmed veil. After donning her full look, which included a gorgeous white hydrangea and pink rose bouquet, she surprised her bridesmaids and her mom with an adorable first look that made us smile! An emotional church wedding ceremony followed, which was officiated by Annie’s dad, an ordained pastor. “It was so beautiful to watch him look at his daughter with such emotion,” shared In The Garden Boudoir, who photographed the couple’s magical day. “He even took his time while choking up before pronouncing his daughter and new son-in-law as ‘husband and wife’.” When the vows had been exchanged, Annie and Lewis then invited their nearest and dearest to join them at a lovely reception at The Garden Club of Jacksonville. In keeping with the day’s elegant, family-focused tone, their reception featured vintage details, like old family wedding photos and thrift store treasures. Guests were also treated to a scrumptious dessert bar overflowing with cakes and confections. It was truly a celebration that communicated Annie and Lewis’s reverence for their families’ past as well as the joy of beginning a loving marriage of their own!
