Friday and Sunday weddings have been on the rise for some years now. But, many are slow to jump on to this trend, fearing that a non-Saturday celebration will be a dance-less, guest-less flop. If you’re hesitant about the idea of hosting your day any other day of the weekend, you only need to look at Allison and Chris’s day, shared here by Simone Epiphany Photography. The bride and groom opted to for a day that was non-traditional in many ways — lego boutonnieres, anyone? — but stands out for their choice of day and time. Instead of a Saturday evening soiree, they decided on a beautiful Sunday brunch wedding! “Allison and Chris’s beautiful brunch wedding proved that a wedding during the day on a Sunday can have everything a Saturday night wedding can have, including a super fun reception with lots of awesome dancing!” shared photographer Simone Epiphany. The Terrace Club served as the backdrop for their rustic-infused day, and it proved to be an excellent choice on two fronts. First, it provided an amazing outdoor setting for their vow exchange overlooking the lawn. Secondly, the clubhouse’s big event space was great for giving their guests plenty of room to spread out, have fun, and get down on the dance floor! The neutral colors of the room also complemented their decor wonderfully — the bright turquoise and black palette really pops! And, we adore that they were a couple who weren’t afraid to let their uniqueness shine with DIY mason jar centerpieces, photos of themselves from years gone by and an Xbox themed cake. Their day as about them and the things they enjoy, and we believe that’s what it’s all about!
