All of us here are Two Bright Lights are working our hardest to bring you site improvements and product updates that we know you’ll love. And today we are particularly excited to announce not one, but TWO new features that were just released to the site!
Include your Instagram Handle
Including your social handles in your TBL account is easier than ever. Be sure to list your Instagram handle in your profile as we’ve created a new tool for editors to tag you in their social posts straight from TBL.
Categorize your Boudoir Submissions
Do you shoot boudoir? Well, then we’ve got great news for you. Boudoir is now an album and publication category! Use these categorizations when submitting your albums or searching for publications.
Questions? We’ve Got You Covered!
Where do I add my social handles?
Once you’ve logged into your account, click on the avatar in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select My Account. You can add all of your applicable accounts in the Account Info tab. The more you include, the easier it will be for editors and vendors to find you on social media.
How does the Instagram tool for editors help me?
We have given editors the ability to copy and paste the Instagram information for the photographer and vendors that have been tagged in an album. This will help them tag contributors properly when they share an image from your album on Instagram.
How do I create a Boudoir album?
If you’ve ever created a TBL album before, you know what to do. After clicking Create Album on the Albums page, select Weddings as the album type and then Boudoir as the category. That’s all you have to do!
How do I see which editors accept Boudoir?
There are actually two places you can see this. The first is the publication selection step of submission creation. When you get to this step, you can select the category you are looking to submit: Boudoir. There you will be able to see all of the publications that accept that kind of content. Additionally, you can view this information on a publication by publication basis in the Editor Profile Pages. This will tell you all the categories that each publication accepts. Since this is a new feature, make sure you check back frequently as publications will be adding categories over the next few weeks.
Remind me where I find the Editor Profile Pages and what information is there?
To access these profiles, click on the avatar in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then choose the Community Tab. From there, click Browse by Publication to find the profile pages for the publications you’d like to learn more about. Each publisher provides information about what they’re looking for, the types of content they accept, any submission requirements that they have, as well as details about their submission response and publication times.
