Events & Parties: A Chesapeake Bay Wedding Celebration

Ben and Kate have lots of love for the Chesapeake Bay, so while they were wed in Maine, they knew they had to celebrate on the Eastern Shore of Maryland as well! Their wedding reception featured tons of DIY details that gave it a summery, down-home feel. Local, sustainably-caught seafood was served, along with all of the fixings for a classic cookout by the water. Guests could choose from yummy cucumber-infused water, pink lemonade or glass-bottled Coke. The joyous occasion was captured by One Summer Day, who shared, “ Ben and Kate planned this beautiful gala on a remarkably tight budget, which goes to show you don’t need to spend big bucks to have a wedding that’s beautiful, thoughtful and truly unique.”
