The Cabbage Patch Kid makes an adorable comeback in this newborn session with Melanie Bennett Photography. Baby Summer, the sleepy little one in this shoot, can be seen dreaming away during her outdoor portrait session, which was split between two locations. The first location was a blooming field of purple wildflowers. Peaceful and serene are two words that perfectly describe baby Summer as she snoozed amongst the flowers. Her pink and white floral crown made her the princess of the field! After working with the wildflowers, Melanie Bennett Photography decided to photograph Summer in a cabbage patch – an idea inspired by a conversation with her own mother. The photographer shared with us that one day she and her mother walked past a garden when they spotted some cabbage. Out loud the two said, “Wouldn’t it be great to put a baby with the cabbage, like a real life cabbage patch doll?” Hence, the inspiration for the shoot’s second location – the cabbage fields at Happy Acres U-Pick. The fun idea turned baby Summer into a real life cabbage patch doll as Melanie Bennett Photography snapped away at each precious and hilarious moment. Who wouldn’t want this cute cabbage patch baby?
What a precious baby! Thank you Melanie Bennett Photography for sharing with us your great idea!
