Pretty. Breathtaking. Gorgeous. Stunning. Nope, none of those words, even combined, come close to describing this Cape Cod wedding. “We felt like we had walked into an Anthropologie dream when looking around their reception tent and dancing barn!” said Dreamlove Photography. And we can see why — from top to bottom, this boho-inspired, DIY celebration overflows with character and beautiful details. For starters, the bride immediately had us swooning as soon as she donned her red floral crown and lace wedding dress. Then we fell more head over heels for this day as the bridesmaids made an appearance in peach dresses and cowgirl boots (and the groomsmen in colorful bow ties!). Outside, the Overbrook House venue was decorated with hand-made, dyed coffee filter pom poms, a dreamcatcher ceremony backdrop, and more vintage decor pieces than we could ever list. Just outside the quaint grey house set on venue grounds, our lovely couple, Amelie and Jason, exchanged sentimental and heartfelt vows while close friends and family gathered round. Following the I dos, the bride and groom surprised guests with a genuine New England feast filled with steamed lobster, corn on the cob, and heavy helpings of butter! But not even this palate-pleasing menu could outdo the styling that filled the tented reception. Lace table runners and vintage books accented every table. A white Victorian couch was used at the head table as seating for the couple of honor. Bubble gum pink florals and ribbon banners added pops of color throughout the room. Oh, and that’s not even all. A small barn located on the property was transformed into a dancing hall for their big day celebration! Inside, the peaked ceiling was strung with sparkling lights and countless more retro props, such as vintage suitcases and an old typewriter, lined the walls — making a perfect setting for guests to let loose and head out to the dance floor while the live band played. That is, if they could tear themselves away from the oh-so-sweet dessert station — featuring three cakes, cupcakes, trifles, and more from Artisan Bake Shop — located at the other end of the barn. We thought we’d seen everything when it comes to weddings, but this day definitely proved us wrong. From now on, a new standard has been set!
What a wonderful wedding day!
