This gorgeous Canadian wedding celebration captured by Ten 2 Ten Photography was all about two really special things. First, the couple of honor wanted their day to be all about their families and creating a warm environment. Secondly, as foodies, they absolutely had to have unforgettable catering at their big day. It’s not difficult to see how those two things worked together to create a memorable soiree, but what really gave their day an effortless feel was the amazing venue. Spacious enough to host their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, the open-concept style of Mildred’s Temple Kitchen was exactly what Lisa and Shawn were looking for. Best of all, the spectacular layout of the venue made it possible for everyone to watch the chefs prepare each dish for the reception. Talk about an incredible perk! With the spotlight being on family and good eats, the rest of the day’s details were all about simplicity and delicate beauty. The morning opened with the bride and groom dressing separately, but meeting before the ceremony began for an intimate first look and a prop-filled, urban-styled portrait session that really let the couple’s chemistry shine. Not to mention that the bride, Lisa, looked positively radiant in her elegant lace wedding dress! Just like this portrait session, the ceremony and reception that followed continued to incorporate modern aesthetics with understated decor and props. The food may have taken center stage throughout the room, but non-edible elements — like small floral arrangements by Bloor & Kennedy Flower Shop and confetti printed with pictures of the newlyweds — added just the right amount of the couple’s personality to the festivities. We know we don’t have to say it, but Lisa and Shawn’s decision to stay true to themselves really paid off and led to a fabulous night of dancing and memory making, too! We think Ten 2 Ten Photography summed it this day perfectly by saying, “With both hearts and tummies full, the day was truly amazing!”
We can’t imagine a more perfect fête for this family and food-loving duo!
