Tiana and photographer Meigan Canfield have been friends since they were just nine years-old. Years later, when Tiana’s boyfriend, Jared, got down on one knee and popped the question, she naturally called on her old friend for some help documenting this special time. For their fall engagement session, the Colorado lovebirds chose a place that was near and dear to their hearts – Boreas Pass, the site of their first date and Jared’s proposal. Deciding to return to this sentimental backdrop for their September shoot really paid off by giving them really stunning colors to work with, but the biggest benefit was that the familiar location helped them be at ease in front of the camera. Starting the day with shots at a beautiful rustic cabin, Tiana and Jared jumped right in and had a great time sharing sweet kisses and showing off their playful personalities. Their laid-back outfits of boots and jeans complemented the rustic backdrop wonderfully. The final images captured that day stand out with pops of color and breathtaking mountain-side scenery. All in all, we think Meigan Canfield Photography got right to the core of what makes this shoot so fun to look at when she shared, “Summit County could not have given us a more wonderfully warm, bluebird day to show off the glowing happiness Tiana and Jared have for each other. I had a great time taking pictures of these two, but honestly mostly enjoyed laughing with two beautiful, funny people and appreciating the place we live in.” We have to agree, the setting is quite a sight to behold, but Tiana and Jared and their clear love for each other are the real show-stoppers!
Many thanks to Meigan Canfield Photography for sharing this gorgeous Colorado engagement shoot!
