“Guests who attended our wedding traveled from all over Texas, California, Connecticut, and even Japan!,” explained bride Natalie. “Therefore, our main goal was to provide an exciting atmosphere in which our guests could cohesively celebrate on this special day.” And, my how they nailed it — the couple’s Texas destination wedding, documented by Lindsey Thorne Photography, was chock full of energy, fun and personality! Another goal of the bride and groom was to make sure that their wedding day was a reflection of their styles. Natalie and Marcelino’s big day began with a traditional Catholic ceremony at Marcelino’s childhood church; the church were many of his relatives were also married. With a deep focus on the meaning of their vows and the sanctity of the marriage union, the duo chose to keep things sweet and simple in terms of decor. As Natalie explains, “We capitalized on the church’s quaint, simple charm, by not adding elaborate decorations and focused the attention on the ceremony.” This decision allowed the bride and groom’s outfits to really shine, too. Inspired by her love of things with a Spanish flair, Natalie wore a mermaid style gown with tiers of scalloped lace and carried a bouquet of red roses. Marcelino showed off his edgy, modern style with a crisp white tux, red vest and tie. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests met up for the reception at the unique One World Theatre. The festivities began with a lively cocktail hour filled with signature drinks, hors d’oeuvres and music by a virtuoso guitarist. Once everyone had arrived and settled in, guests were then invited to join the bride and groom for a family-styled dinner provided by Royal Fig Catering. Three Apples Events helped them style the event beautifully with red and black decor. Following dinner, guests were treated to yummy Mexican wedding cookies baked by a family friend and not one, but two amazing cakes (we seriously want a slice of that fabulous Rice Krispie groom’s cake!). Oh, but the fun didn’t end there — dinner was followed by an awesome dance party with Texas Pro DJ and a choreographed first dance show put on by the bride and groom! Needless to say, this was a day that these lovebirds nor their guests will ever forget.

What a wonderful, fun-filled wedding! Thank you Lindsey Thorne Photography for brightening our day!
