Traditional Irish Catholic Wedding by Reese Moore Weddings

Happy St. Patty’s Day! We know evenings of green outfits and beer-filled festivities await many of you, but we say you start celebrating now. The best place to start? With this darling Irish Catholic wedding brought to us by Reese Moore Weddings! The photos begin with the beautiful bride, Colleen, donning her stunning Rivini wedding dress and veil at her family’s home in Chicago. Colleen completed the look with an emerald green and gold shamrock brooch (a family heirloom) pinned to her gown for luck. Then, Colleen and her maids head off to the church for the ceremony, where her father escorted her down the aisle. She and her soulmate Bill exchanged vows in a traditional Irish Catholic ceremony with pews filled with smiling family and friends. Afterward, while their guests arrived at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa and settled in for the reception, the newlyweds and their wedding party posed for pretty portraits on the venue’s bright green lawn. With all the green filling the backdrop, you’d think they’d tied the knot on the Emerald Isles themselves! Their reception inside the resort’s ballroom was equal parts elegant decor and fun festivities. With the guidance of Garland Flowers Inc. and planner Maria Athine Events, they styled their tables with pink hydrangeas and gold and white paper table numbers by Courtney Callahan Paper that matched their invitations. Oak Mill Bakery and Deerfields Bakery provided the couple with a white wedding cake with small gold bands and a Notre Dame “fighting Irish” themed groom’s cake. To top it all off, Steve Edwards Orchestra got the party going and filled the dance floor! “Colleen and Bill positively light up around each other, and their wedding was filled with smiles and laughter!” said Reese Moore Weddings about the couple and their day.
