We’re crazy about rustic weddings and we don’t foresee that changing anytime soon. But we do understand that when wedding style trends like this one hit an all time high on the popularity scale, that they can start to feel cumbersome. Thankfully, the world is full of creative, unique brides and grooms who keep bringing a fresh, fun approach to the rustic look. Today’s couple are a perfect example. Chelsea and Joey tied the knot at Grace Maralyn Estate and Gardens in Atascadero, CA, a location described by Ballad’s Photography as a place that “makes you want to throw off your shoes and stay awhile!” Chelsea wore a wedding gown that was custom-made by a dear friend and a boho-esque hair chain. Her maids wore mismatched mint green dresses of their choosing and her flower girls wore pretty ivory dresses and flower crowns. The bride and groom hosted a gorgeous ceremony outside that featured wooden folding chairs, florals galore and a beautiful white gazebo. After the vows, the couple’s lovely reception waited nearby on the lawn. With chic decor all around, including stunning centerpieces by April Flowers, and a dessert station piled high with desserts and cake, there’s no doubting that the newlyweds and their guests had a fabulous time celebrating under California’s big blue skies. As long as there are couples around like Chelsea and Joey to provide us with stylish takes on “rustic,” we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this trend isn’t going anywhere in the years to come!
