If you, like us, are a fan of British television drama Downton Abbey, it’s likely that you’re already feeling the end-of-season withdrawals. Well, lucky you (and us!), Daisy Saulls Photography shared a styled wedding inspired by the show that’s sure to tide you over until next season. The shoot took place on the beautiful grounds of Mount Airy Plantation, a historic estate set in beautiful Virginia. And, it oozes with elegant details styled by Catherine G. Damewood, Taylor Made Cakes, Inslee by Design, and many other superbly talented vendors (including White House calligrapher, Pat Blair). “This styled wedding shoot was inspired by Downton Abbey’s duck hunting episode during season three,” said Daisy Saulls Photography. “There was something incredibly elegant about the attire, and yet hunting parties have long been, perhaps unfairly, considered a masculine affair. However, we couldn’t help but admire the character of lady Mary as she played her part alongside the men, all the while maintaining her flawless elegance and grace.” The creative team was able to pull off this coming together of masculinity and femininity and create a stunning look filled with a gorgeously styled bride and groom, pink florals and vintage props and accents. Take a peek, and we know you’ll be as smitten with this shoot as we are!
Thank you Daisy Saulls Photography for this beautiful dose of Downton Abbey style!
