We love hearing the romantic story of how lovebirds meet, fall in love, and become engaged to be married. Roslyn shared her story with us, and it’s just beautiful. She and Yves met at church in 1999 and they dated for a short amount of time, but the pair went on to see other people. In 2011, Roslyn relocated to a new city and focused on “praying for her future husband.” When she moved back to Ottawa, Yves contacted her and they’ve been together ever since. He proposed at during one of their fancy dinner dates, and of course Roslyn said yes! Samantha Clarke Photography documented the couple’s outdoor engagement shoot on a windy spring day in Ottawa. The first stop on their shoot was the Museum of History which provided amazing post-modern architecture as a backdrop for their photos. Then they continued to the Rideau Canal and finished the day with romantic photos exploring the downtown of the city. Roslyn began the day wearing a full, knee-legth skirt while her fiancé looked casual-chic by her side: a fancier outfit to compliment the fancy proposal. They ended the day in matching stripes and distressed jeans to show off their fun, carefree personalities. The love and connection between these two is really undeniable.
Congratulations Roslyn and Yves and thank you Samantha Clarke Photography for sharing these photos!
