Nora & John met in class at college, while they were studying for the same degree. John proposed at sunset, in the rain, on the beach in Gulf Shores, and surprised Nora with a small celebration with both his family and hers — her family was not originally on the vacation! Due to Nora’s studies, the two had a long engagement, but their wedding was well worth the wait, as you can see in the photos by Under Grace Photo. The couple loves autumn, so they not only had their wedding in October, but their color palette was comprised of fall-inspired colors. The bridesmaids wore forrest green dresses, and carried lovely bouquets of yellow, gold, orange, and green, while the groomsmen wore coordinating plaid ties, and boutonnieres to match the bouquets. The couple had a traditional ceremony at College Church, then traveled around St. Louis with the bridal party and Under Grace Photo for some fun portraits. Their reception was beautiful, and boasted many DIY details! Nora made the guests’ favors, John brewed the beer, and they had a “decorating party” with some of their friends, a few days before the wedding, to decorate the chalk boards that explained each beer. This was such a fun and personal wedding reception — a perfect way to start a life together!
