What happens to my existing albums?
They automatically become discoverable in Open Gallery & are still available to submit directly. Boom, mic drop.
Can I submit albums through the usual submission process?
YES, everything will remain the same for the submissions process, we’re simply upping your chances of getting published by making your albums searchable in Open Gallery. Not your jam? You can edit this status at any time.
What if I submit a public album to an exclusive?
If you submit an album to an exclusive, we’ll automatically remove it from Open Gallery and keep it private. From the time it’s submitted, accepted and during the publication’s exclusivity period, it will remain private. After that the album will be added to Open Gallery again!
What does a public vs. a private album mean for my submissions?
A public album is discoverable in Open Gallery, in addition to being available to submit to non-exclusives through the submission process. A private album is one you have marked to keep out of Open Gallery and is available still for direct submissions.
How can I update the status of my album?
If you wish to review your settings or make an album private, simply login, go to the Albums tab and click into the album you wish to change the status of, click Edit Album. Under Album Info locate the Private Album section and change the toggle as desired. Click Save.
What happens when an editor requests my work through Open Gallery?
Their request will either be auto-approved or require your direct approval in the Submissions tab under ‘Requested‘. This is based on your Open Gallery Preferences, which you may review & update at any time.
How do I keep an album out of Open Gallery to submit to an exclusive publication?
Go into the album, click Edit Album, click Album Info, then toggle the switch to private. Click Save. It’s that easy.
How do I review my Open Gallery approval settings?
You can always review your Open Gallery settings by logging into your account, clicking My Account, and clicking the Settings tab. Then select the Preferences tab, and you will be able to manage all of your Open Gallery preferences in one spot.
